Realme has finally introduced the vanilla Realme GT 2 in India. Back in January, this year, the company debuted the smartphone in its home market alongside the GT 2 Pro and the GT 2 Master Edition. The Realme GT 2 features an environment-friendly biopolymer material design on the rear, similar to one found on the GT 2 Pro. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by last year’s flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC and boasts a punch-hole display on the front and a triple camera setup on the rear. Realme GT 2 Price in India, Availability

The Realme GT 2 starts at Rs 34,999 for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model in India. The higher storage version of the GT 2 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage costs Rs 38,999. The smartphone flaunts three distinctive colour options, Paper Green, Paper White, and Steel Black.

The Realme GT 2 will go on sale from April 28 at noon from Flipkart and Realme’s official website. The brand is offering a flat discount of Rs 5,000 on the smartphone for HDFC Debit card, Credit card EMI purchases.

Realme GT 2 Specifications

The Realme GT 2 comes with a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1080 × 2400 pixels. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, has an aspect ratio of 16:9, and has a peak brightness of up to 1300 nits. Under the hood, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with Adreno 660 GPU powers the handset. The phone is available with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The camera module on the GT 2 houses triple cameras on the rear. There’s a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. A secondary ultra-wide 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and a tertiary 2-megapixel macro shooter with an f/2.4 aperture tag along. The front-facing camera on the device resides in the side-punch-hole of the display, a 16-megapixel sensor. The device runs on Realme UI 3.0 based on the Android 12 operating system.

Connectivity options on the GT 2 include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Stereo Speakers, and a USB 2.0 Type-C port for charging and data transfer. The sensor array of the device features an under-display fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and colour spectrum. The Realme GT 2 comes packed with a 5000 mAh Li-Po battery that supports 65W fast charging with the provided in-box adapter.

Realme is preparing for the arrival of a multitude of new smartphones in the upcoming months. Realme’s official Indian website has started featuring some of its unannounced smartphones. A list has been published on the company’s official website of the Realme 9, the Realme GT 2, and the Realme XT 3. Tipster Mukul Sharma spotted Realme’s website listing these three unannounced smartphones earlier. Let us take a look at what happens to have appeared on the page.

As the name suggests, the Realme 9 is expected to succeed the Realme 8 smartphone, while the Realme GT 2 should be introduced as the successor to the Realme GT. Realme GT is yet to be officially launched in India.  It was revealed yesterday that the Realme GT will be released globally in June. It is expected that Realme GT 5G India will be launched this month. Realme’s India website listed the handset with the Coming Soon tag a few days ago.

The company also intends to launch the Realme GT camera flagship in July. Currently, no specifics are known about the upcoming device. On Realme’s website, the XT 3 is advertised as being a completely new handset, just like Realme 9 and GT 2. Realme’s website lists the device for Rs 10,999.

It was in 2019 that Realme announced the XT smartphone. Realme has not announced any other XT series smartphone since launching the XT. Now, Realme has posted its Realme XT 3 listing on its website. Currently, no details are available about the specifications or release date of these unannounced devices.
